Hello to you all. As many of you already know, we had a bumpy start to 2017 when I was knocked off my bike and left with a bad leg break. But hey, the spring is here, daffs are out and by the summer I will hopefully be well and truly on the mend.
Many thanks to all of you for your support, good wishes, flowers, balloons and concern. Finally, a very big thank you to the Pay Academy team who carried on without me and made me look utterly dispensable.
Further ground breaking development here at the offices of Pay Academy; Shirl has succumbed to reading glasses. We never thought we would see the day…
So what’s new for 2017? Apart from the massive auto-enrolment exercise that kicks off big time for small employers this year, we also have the delights of the new apprenticeship levy and new tax thresholds for 2017 (no rate changes this year).
If that isn’t enough for you we have more increases in national minimum wage and national living wage and changes to student loan thresholds.
I can feel your excitement already…
